This site is your source for all the news and information about the 2018 Summer School program, which will be held on the campus of Calabasas High School. The Las Virgenes Unified School District accepts our courses for academic credit toward the Las Virgenes high school diploma. Knowledge Counts courses meet the UC "a-g" requirements through the "Principal Certification" process. Please see the UC website for more information. Students from other districts or schools are responsible for ascertaining if courses will be accepted for credit towards their high school graduation requirements. Knowledge Counts Summer School is a Supplementary Education Program Fully Accredited by the Schools Commission of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Our core academic summer school courses have been approved by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) as meeting requirements for establishing the initial-eligibility certification status for high school student-athletes wishing to compete in college. We offer an exciting Summer School program that includes many different high school courses. Students can choose a prerequisite, a required course, or an elective in order to have more options for next year's academic schedule, or they may opt to retake a class in which they received a D or F grade. Year-long courses run for two semesters (six weeks). Students may enroll in a maximum of ten credits (two semesters) in Summer School.

Knowledge Counts' program allows a student to complete a semester of high school credit in three weeks, or a full year of credit in six weeks. Class instruction and homework assignments, including papers, projects and long-term assignments move at an intense pace with over a week of school completed each day.

Parents and students are hereby informed that "extra time" or other accommodations for class work, homework, or tests cannot be permitted simply because there is no "extra time" available in the rapidly paced program. Students with commitments to summer jobs, family vacations, or those who require more time pursuant to an individualized education plan, and who may be unable to meet the academic and time demands of the program are encouraged to take the classes offered during the regular school year. No exceptions will be made.

No refunds will be given for students unable to keep pace with the program as implemented.
